At Hernando Christian Academy, students have the opportunity to plan and coordinate various events and service projects, through different student organizations offered on campus. Our students learn how to successfully communicate, cooperate, and collaborate as a team in pursuit of a common goal.
Secondly, they have ample opportunity to grow in servant leadership, the kind of leading that seeks to place another’s needs ahead of one’s own, just as “Christ came not to be served but to serve others and give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28).
A third purpose naturally flows from building teamwork and servant-leadership skills: students have an avenue to demonstrate outwardly what Christ is doing inwardly. As students continue to develop into character witnesses for Christ, student activities offer an opportunity for them to put “flesh” on their faith, taking the message of Christ’s love and grace into the community.
Finally, our activities provide students with fun and wholesome recreational opportunities to develop healthy friendships built upon Christian values.
