Advanced Placement (AP) is a program run by the College Board (the makers of the SAT) that allows students to take courses at their own high school, which can earn them college credit and/or qualify them for more advanced classes when they begin college.
So what are AP courses? They are designed to give the student the experience of an intro-level college class while you’re still in high school. Plus, they can receive college credit for the class if they pass the AP exam. HCA does not require students to take the AP exam. Students will still receive the 1-point grade bump for high school credit.
