Chris McCall serves as President on the Hernando Christian Academy (HCA) School Board. God and family are the most important things in his life. Everything Mr. McCall does is through that lens. Mr. McCall was born in Tampa, Florida, but has always believed his roots were in Hernando County, because both his grandfather and father were born there.
Mr. McCall is married to Dianna, and they are fortunate to have four wonderful children whom all attended HCA. Mr. McCall’s son, Stephen McCall graduated in 2008 and is now a financial analyst on Wall Street, his son Keith McCall graduated in 2009 and is a Pharmacist and both boys graduated from University of Florida. His daughter, Rebecca McCall, graduated in 2018 and is attending Pasco Hernando State College, and his daughter, Sammy will be graduating in 2024.
Mr. McCall had two grandmothers that loved the bible and loved to teach. This was passed onto him. He has taught Sunday school to many middle school students. His theme in teaching has always been “that God loves you and that you can do nothing to lose God’s love.”
Accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior has been the most important decision of his life. Mr. McCall’s faith in Jesus helps him to make decisions needed in life and as an HCA Board Member, looking at all things in a biblical view. Mr. McCall’s goal, as part of Hernando Christian Academy, is to make sure that every student has the opportunity to understand what Christ has and will do for them as their Savior.

Mr. Manuel’s wife, Belinda, is also a nurse serving the needs of our community. Mr. Manuel believes that HCA is the Lord’s school in Hernando County. He firmly believes in its values and Christian education. Mr. Manuel volunteers on the Board of Directors to give something back to HCA. He truly believes HCA has helped his children to be closer to God.

While living in Venezuela, at the age of fourteen, the Holy Spirit convicted her to understand what she was reading in the Bible. Two bible verses stuck out, Matthew 6:7 and Exodus 20:4, which made her think of the churches she was attending. At the age of eighteen, she moved to the United States to live with her aunt and eventually became a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Florida.
