Athletic Policies

The FHSAA requires all student-athletes to have an updated FHSAA provided physical form on file before participating in any FHSAA sponsored activity. In addition, all student athletes must have an FHSAA provided Liability and Consent form on file prior to participating in any FHSAA sponsored activity. In addition Hernando Christian Academy requires a signed Statement of Coopreration Form and a signe Informed Consent Awareness of Sports Injury Risk Warning form in order for each student athlete to be eligible to participate in any interscholastic activity.

All of these forms may be obtained from Mrs. Westfall in the front office or from Mr. Drummond.

* All potential athletes must have a full sports physical done by a doctor prior to participation in any sport. This can be done by the athlete's family doctor or at the health department. Athletes may obtain a form from the front office The physical will be valid until the start of the following school year. In other words, if an athlete receives a physical for football or any fall sport, the physical would still be valid for the spring sports season or any H.C.A. summer conditioning program. The best advice is if you are planning to play sports at H.C.A., August is a good time to get your sports physical and you are good for whatever Lion team you play for!

** All athletes will have an athletic fee added to the his or her school bill prior to the athlete's sports season.

***If your student athlete aspires to play college sports, please take the time to review the Recruitng Process Document linked below.
