Welcome to the Hernando Christian Academy Athletic Department! Greetings, I believe that a solid Christian athletic program reinforces the concepts of the Christian worldview and the institution of citizenship. The HCA athletic program works hand-in-hand with academics to develop the best qualities in our student athletes.
The Athletic Department at Hernando Christian Academy provides the student athlete with the opportunity to grow spiritually and physically, as well as academically through its interscholastic sports programs. Hernando Christian Academy is a full member of the Florida High School Athletics Association and competes at the varsity level as district members in boys golf, girls volleyball, girls and boys basketball, boys soccer, girls softball, boys baseball and we compete as an independent in girls and boys tennis. HCA also competes in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference in class 1B football. Finally, our varsity cheerleading squad participates in FHSAA-recognized competetive cheerleading competitions. Through our association with FHSAA, HCA athletics continues to see growing recognition of its student athletes as eight student-athletes have signed college scolarships since 2006. In the years to come, HCA athletics, in partnership with the FHSAA, will continue to strive to provide student athletes with the highest quality high school athletic experience. Our student athletes participate in a variety of Florida High School Athletic Association sanctioned interscholastic programs as well as intramural programs from elementary to high school. We are committed to developing the well-rounded student athlete, emphasizing spiritual commitment, academic excellence, and year-round physical conditioning.
To say that I am excited about the future of athletics at Hernando Christian Academy would be an understatement!
